Im not sure. The reason you probably got a thumbs down James is because you gave a wrong answer. If you bothered to read the whole article, it says that the fire was in Southchrch, which is about 15 miles away from Basildon. highly doubt you can see smoke that far away. I live in Westcliff and can't see any smoke.
