  1. Lol.  I bet the USDA or some sort of cattle organization were the ones who funded the studies that "proved" soy is bad for you!  Trust no one.

  2. I limit soy to one time a week. There are so many other healthier things to eat. Rice milk is good. Rice Dream ice cream etc..

  3. "Also, it was not traditionally eaten as food in Asian countries until fairly recently, despite what some people would have you believe. It was grown to fix the nitrate in the soil."

LOL, is over a thousand years ago recent?

    Whatever you say Weston.

No one complained about soy until it started taking business away from dairy and meat business.

  4. Soy is not bad for you unless you have an allergy.

Registered Dietitians are the only nutrition experts recognized by the healthcare industry.

None of the hype about the "dangers of soy" is supported by Registered Dietitians, the American Dietetic Association, the FDA or the AMA.

It's just another food fad like the one about carbs a few years ago.

  5. ive heard some bad rumors of soy too

i dont like them rumors :(

this one adds to my worry!

just limit ur intake until u do some more research

i dont have it to often..i tried rice milk and didnt like it..i guess i can try nut milks?!

  6. Soy does indeed has high amounts of phytoestrogens - that is, compounds from a plant that behave like estrogens in your body.

Also, it was not traditionally eaten as food in Asian countries until fairly recently, despite what some people would have you believe.  It was grown to fix the nitrate in the soil.

You can visit these links to see what the fuss about soy is.

  7. If all you eat is soy, then you cannot make B12 or serotonin. The issues you bring up can be looked up in the "Scholar" section of Google.

  8. there are alot of benefits to it also i love it and eat it all the time

Check out this site, it has lots of good info.

Everything in moderation is the key !!!

I drink soy milk and eat soy pudding and I have not noticed any problems.  I am 47 and starting pre-menopause so it's probably better for me than dairy anyway.  Again, I don't have it everyday so I'm not too worried.

Walking around outside and breathing isn't too healthy for us anymore either.  Does that mean you're not going to go outside ever again !?

Stressing about this stuff will kill you faster than anything, read up about it and chill out with with some Soy icecream !!
