What's up with the Mets?

Don't get me wrong, I love the Mets. But why can't they hold the lead or win, when Johan Santana pitches? Example: Tonight, they lead like 4-2 and Billy Wagner comes in and blows the lead, and then they lose the game. Don't let me have to mention that other time Johan pitched well and with a comfortable lead, and then all h**l breaks loose!! The bullpen blows everything up!!

They should have won both games in Houston.

A major housecleaning is needed....the Mets are raising ticket prices for CitiField next year, they have to have a winning team to offset that, and this is NOT the team.

JOHAN has left the game early on several occasions.  He then goes deep on a blow out game with something like 116 pitches.  I don't get it.

I have been predicting a Mets collapse, because when a team hits a win streak like they did in July, it is usually followed by a streak of the opposite nature. The Mets do not have the character to be a special team this year, sorry.

i guess it's just a coincidence that this always happens to santana, but it's clear that the mets' main weakness is in their bullpen, they are having trouble holding leads and that is really going to cost them in a really tight race for the nl east

Mets are most frustrating team to be a fan of. Believe me I KNOW.

Santana should have 15 wins, but due to their middle relievers, and occasionally Wagner, he has no hope.  The recent series with Marlins and their present series with Astros will come back to haunt them at end of season. What else is new. Heilman, needs to be benched. Permanently. Wagner wants to stick around another year to surpass Franco on Saves List. At this rate, he will need to stay 4 years.

Let that be a lesson to Johan.  You don't drop your no trade clause to be traded to the Mets. They are the 2nd most important team in their own town!!

The bullpen (and  defense ) lost it for them tonight-- We left in the 6th -but I made it home in time to see the implosion !!

Omar Minaya is a horrible GM, he needs to learn to spend more money on Relief Pitchers, instead of Blowing it all on Mediocre overpaid guys like; Oliver Perez, Brian Schneider, etc.

The Mets' bullpen is god awful. Whoever the GM is over there, I honestly have no idea, needs to spend some money or make some deals.
