What's with australians and elvis?

not to lump everyone into one category, and I know that alot of people have a fascination with the king, but it seems like an overwhelming amount of older Australian women love him......?? any commentary?? lol, i can't wait for the ignorant american comments to start rolling in! :)

My mum and sisters have Elvis collection of records, dvds, all sorts of his memorabilla's. When there is a gathering of mum's sisters at home, Elvis music is played forever, is the only time I go... hang out with my friends. Sorry Elvis!

Its not only Aussies that have the fascination with Elvis, there are alot of people in the world too.. My Aunt is a living example of Australians obsessed with elvis.. seriously.. Statues, ashtray, posters, etc EVERYTHING.. and going everywhere just to see an elvis wanna be.

Older women all over the world love Elvis. Imagine this...  after listening to their parents music since birth, all of a sudden along comes Elvis with his charm, s**y good looks and that voice to die for, and  those swinging hips. Need I say more?

Lots of older Australian woman love Elvis because of his charm and charisma.They loved his music and his movies and lots still have his albums and listen to it regularly.
