What's wrong with my canary?

I have a female canary for a few years now I never saw her loosing so many feathers in her head .. the new ones look like sticks and I noticed her body feathers are ok but some look like her color faded ..She's bright yellow but some of the feathers look faded yellow .. I did spray her with medicine for mites. i don't know if she's sick or not since she still eat normal and she is very playful .. No change in her behavior .. But it worry me that the back of her head is full of sticks now..

What should I do ? is she sick?

does you bird have mites? why would you spray her with mite medicine ..... it sounds like your little canary is moulting(replacing all her feathers ) the sticks you see are the new fethers coming in they are covered with a casing as they come out it will feel like a plastic coating ....good luck hope this helps

she is molting, those mite and lice sprays dont work its actually doing more harm than good to the bird, she is just molting, she should be fine,
