What American gifts do Russians like?

I'm traveling to Russia and don't know what to bring from the United States to give as gifts to Russians.

Are you giving to a group, or are you staying with a family? Frankly, Natalia is right - everything is available there these days, you won't surprise anyone with a Statue of Liberty  hat or something of that nature.

For a group, I would get mugs - star-and-striped ones - because drinking tea/coffee from a mug is very American. Some interesting pins and key-chains are a good idea.

If you're staying with a family, bring something more substantial, like a beautiful tray for a coffee table (for example, I have one featuring Niagra Falls) or a nice tablecloth. A beautiful book of photos featuring American landscapes or famous landmarks would be nice too, as many Russians like those.

Russians like big presents :

Hummers, Rollex, one week all inclusive in Las Vegas, M16,

zippos ( not bad this one.... ), 357 hh magnum ( Smith & Wesson much better ) etc - Great presents never too big

Well you should visit your local souvenier shop, or wal-mart cause they are stocked with souviners.....but i recommend bring, t-shirts,  good amercian books, american snacks or something(like chips or sack cakes, and last but not least, bring some american p**n, never know if it will come in handy, but you should most definetly visit the souvinier shop.

I don't think there's anything that Russians need and can't get themselves so whatever gifts you woudl get for anyone else will work fine.  The one thing they are obsessed with over there are cell phones which are much more expensive BUT they all require sim cards and American phones do not.. so it's hard to get something like that without a lot of research to see what's compatible.
