What Britain will proud of?

Britons were once known the world over for our decency, good manners, reserve and morality.

But now the country is 'fameobsessed' and plagued by 'vandalism and binge drinking'.

We also eat more junk food than the rest of Europe combined and are devouring Internet p**n at the fastest rate on Earth, according to the travellers' bible the Lonely Plan

Just a few Month ago the UNICEF said Britain is the wost place in the EU to bring up children. what going wrong with your country?

The UK has so much going for it but its wasted by twerps like Blair and without doubt we need someone hard lined like Maggie Thatcher modernized our country way back in the day. Otherwise our inflation, over population, poor services, rising bankruptcy (appearing in all sectors), rising chavs, stupid wars is all gonna destroy the UK.

I love my country and prefer to be called English. But it is that bad I've left for China. Why? How come every other nation has special economic development zones, 2 years tax free and loads of incentives to develop. However if you want to do anything in the UK you get taxed to death! Consider the brain drain guys! Btw I'm an Web Master and translator from Chinese to English.

but this is were i live  ive been to worse places then my UK

we have some real nice places here and stop condemning  us all

i am a cockney born and bred and real proud of were i came from

and i am proud of all my family dont slate us because by the sounds of it you no nothing

To be proud of your country is silly, unless you are an immigrant, because you are not responsible for where you were born, you had no choice.  Only an immigrant chooses and can be proud of his decision. That is why patriotism and nationalism is "The last refuge of The scoundrel"  ...The british do not eat more food than the rest of europe combined.   There is nothing wrong with p**n, internet or otherwise............UNICEF is an overbearing nosey parker bureacracy of parasitical overpaid b******s and the Lonley Planet guide is the worst Guide Book series in The World and never used by interested or interesting travellers... Who would wish to follow in the footsteps of the mediocre and stupid people whose innacurate opinions litter the LPG? If Briton is so bad why are people desperate to live and work there?

you used the term "we" as in we eat more junk food then asked what is going on with "your" country , is this your country too or not?

basically I think we are becoming over populated were only a small island and 1 person a second is jumping ashore and the Brits that really need help (social help) are not getting it because there are too many people to help.

The immigrant problem is what's plaguing your little island. NHS is overwhelmed and the avgerage Brit is being taxed into the poor house. You guys need reform worse than we do here in America.
