  1. Vamp means, according to my dictionary, a woman who uses sexual attraction to exploit men.

Did he comment any further? It's hard to tell for sure from the context, but it has the feel of an inappropriate remark to me. If he was telling you that you were wearing something inappropriate, there are a lot better ways of wording it. If he wasn't asking you to modify your dress or behavior (and you say you were just sitting there, so it sounds like he had no reason to), I would watch out for this guy. There's something sort of creepy, in my opinion, about using that terminology -- it puts the blame on the female for whatever feeling the male is having, and if it came out of the blue, be aware of other inappropriate things he might say.

That's without hearing tone or context, so maybe it wasn't as creepy as it seems just reading it, but if he gives you a creepy feeling, pay attention to it. Our intuition is a great gift, and when there are warning bells, there's a reason for it.

  2. looking like the preying mantis.. laying in wait to suck the blood out of guys.. waiting to seduce the guys... a vamp is a woman who has low morals .... she is not a prostitute.. but she is trying to ensnare men.. she looks made up to be noticed.. kind of S****y or posh S****y... she may wear elegant clothes but she moves provocotively and of course had red lipstick and bright red nails.. she is a seductress of men not a prostitute but in her mannerisms she shows she is out to seduce men.. she behaves as if she is on the prowl and most likely will wear some dress with a low cleavage and also show plenty of leg... xx expensive clothes possibly but she will go ''dressed to kill''

  3. A vamp is  a woman who uses her charm or wiles to seduce and exploit men.

  4. I looked it up on Dictionary.com and only got stuff about shoe repair or jazz improvisation.  Maybe the teacher is just yanking your chain.  Students do it to teachers.  Why not?
