What GPS device do you recommend?

In the short future, I will be traveling to several cities across North & South America and Middle East. What GPS doy recommend to buy that has the best street by street map support?

  1. Garmin c550. Garmins are one of their kind, and much different from the others I've tried. You always want one that speaks the streets and directions (e.g. "Turn onto Maple Street in 500 feet. Turn left onto Maple street.) I know that sounds minor but that is sooo important to have. My specific model has bluetooth for your phone, and is the best price for one like it with that combo, without going onto a widescreen, which goes into the $500-$600. However if you don't want bluetooth you can get the exact same thing without it much cheaper. You WILL regret going cheap. We tried other brands and nothing compares to the Garmins. They also have great customer service and the only companies I know that you can buy worldwide maps from. One with bluetooth, from the right place can cost you only $200 (but can go to $350, so research the places to buy-especially online, very thoroughly). the ones without bluetooth are much cheaper, in fact you can get them at walmart.
