Question:

What GPS mouse should I buy?

Hey all. For the past few days I've been looking around the net for a decent GPS setup but have been overwhelmed with what is available. I'm looking for something that can be hooked up to a laptop via USB.

Handhelds seem to be a bit too expensive, as this will be my first GPS system so I don't want to spend too much.

What GPS receivers a.k.a. GPS 'mouse' would be ideal for a novice? What about software?

Thanks in advance.

  1. USB GPS receiver GlobalSat BU-353 is very popular among users. It can be purchased very inexpensively ($36 today) at http://www.semsons.com/glbuusbgpsre.html - It is an excellent unit, based on the powerful SiRFstarIII chip.

GPS navigation software for your laptop can be purchased from $40 to $90 (or more). There are several good ones. Check the list of laptop GPS navigation software programs and reviews at http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/pc-gps-sof...

  2. Try this GPS device, it only cost me $100 but the down side is not USB compatible you have to pair it to your laptop using Bluetooth.
