  1. Seems like the Nike Platinum might be more ball than you need at this point.  NXT should be good.  Do you notice a difference when playing them?

  2. Golf Magazine did a ball test last month and recommended golf balls for players of all abilities.  Since you said you shoot mid 40's for nine, I'm going to list the balls recommended for a 20 handicap.  Titleist Pro V1, V1x, NXT tour and extreme, DT Carry and Roll, Pinnacle Platinum Feel and Distance, Bridgestone e6+, Callaway HX Hot Bite, Nike Juice 312, Karma, PD Soft, Straight, Long, Maxfli Noodle+, Precept Distance iQ 180, Srixon Trispeed, Soft Feel, AD333, TaylorMade Burner, Top Flite Freak, and the Wilson ProStaff Boost.  Now you just have to pick one.

  3. My basic cheapness drives my selection of golf balls.  While I like the ProVs I just can't see myself paying the money.  I like the NXT Tour ball and find it every bit as good as the ProV at half the price so stick with the NXTs.

  4. That Golf Magazine golf ball comparison test is a bunch of c**p. For 6 of the 7 skill level of golfers (best to worst) their first recommendation is the Titleist Pro V. I guess advertising does pay. So does that bribe check.

The DT Solo or the Noodle Long are excellent choices for you and the cost per dozen is about $20.

  5. It does matter.

The nike one black would probably be a better choice for you.  Also, the Taylormade Red TP's or maybe even the Pro V1x.  I dunno, the cheaper the balls, the worst the player in my opinion.

  6. doesnt matter

  7. Doesn't really matter.

DT Solo's would be a good choice.

  8. If you can afford them, play the ProV1 or the Taylor Made TP Black. Even for slower swings, they perform the best. The new Callaway Hot Bite is GREAT for the money. The Nike is the WRONG ball. Almost anything will play better. The Nike ball is designed to be smashed by the likes of Tiger. Maybe one day, huh!
