My daughter has to research Italian cars at school and then in Science she has to make a miniature one. She has to find out about the:

The history of the car

About the manufacturer

Where the car is made and about that place

The innovations

And she is not sure which car company she should choose and where she can get her information from. What car company should she choose?

I've always been fascinated by Maserati.

I guess if she doesn't love Formula One racing, you should look for the ones you can most easily find materials on.

avoid Ferrari as I'm sure many students will choose it.

Alfa Romeo & Fiat both have great backgrounds.

  3. There's another one, a guy called Pinan Farina, who changed his name to Pinanfarina ( all one name ) later on...but he was a great Italian customizer of cars, while he didn't "manufacture" them wholesale and in bulk, he's famous for the many designer cars he produced from the '50's onward. He usually worked with other car companies to "enhance" their product, occasionally producing one of his own. Might be worth looking into as an unusual "offshoot" of unique Italian automobile design work. Good wishes on your daughter's report!

< He did work on the '50's American Nash Rambler, too , as well as some '70's AMC cars like the Matador Coupe >
