What about life in Norway?

Question

Me and my boyfriend are toying around with the idea of moving to Norway in a couple of years. The country must be one of the most expensive in the entire world!!

Is there anybody living in Norway who can answer some of our questions dealing with life over there, please?

Good luck if you do :) My boyfriend came to America for college; he's from Oslo, (Norway) as well & after college graduation, I might move there too! Yes it is one of the most expensive countries in the world, but because of the higher minimum wage and salaries, it pretty much evens out. I know the minimum wage is somewhere around the equivalency of $24 USD. So yes, the cost of living is higher, but the pay is higher too. Have fun.

I have never lived in Norway but I did a week long detachment with the Royal Air Force in the early 1990s. The country is expensive but it is a beautiful country and the Norwegians love the British.
