So this may seem pretty stupid but i jsut got back from camp and one counselor really made an impression on me. She is an actress and goes to NYU and just by looking at her facebook and such you can tell how much she loves what she does. I have just recently been noticing that i dont have much of a passion. I am really really smart and semi athletic. I may want to be a doctor but i think i only want it for the title not becuase i want to. Is there even a career that i will enjoy?? I feel as though it is too late to find a passion like acting, drawing, writing. Nothing strikes me as amazing. What do I do?

  1. It's never too late. My aunt is 40 and she just started art classes!

There are heaps of quizzes and surveys online that you can do that'll give you some ideas as to what you'd like to do. What subjects do you take at school? And which ones do you enjoy the most? How many more years of school do you have?

You've got plenty of time to decide what you want to do in life. Ever since I was 9 I wanted to become a teacher. I'm now 18 and in between those ages my idea of future careers has gone from one extreme to another and now I'm studying to become a teacher! It's important to look at lots of different paths and then make your decision.

On average, adults change their careers once every 8 years. So if you go into University training for one thing, don't expect it to be what you're going to be doing for the rest of your life. Find out what you enjoy doing and stick to that.
