I want to get my daughter a bicycle, with training wheels. She just turned 5 years old last month. Is this a good age to start her out on a bike or is she still too young?

  1. That's a really good age,

  2. No that's perfect. A lot of kids start riding without training wheels at that age.  I'd let her ride with training wheels for a while, then teach her without when you guys are comfortable with it (maybe around 6)

  3. Thats a good age, I bought my daughter a smaller bike this year fo her birthday, she just turned 4.  Just be sure you get her a helmet.  Mine falls often!  have fun with it,my daughter is.

  4. That is the perfect age, though I got my bicycle at age 6, a lot of my friends got it at 5.  Make sure you help her and teach her to ride before you take off the training wheels.

  5. mine started at 2.5. Then by 4 they were off training wheels. So yeah get her the bike. This is a great age to be out riding

  6. She a good age. My son start riding his bike with training wheel 12 inch bike when he was 3 year old or think he might be four to learn really good. He enjoyed riding his bike. go get her a bike and show how to paddle and stop with those training wheels.

  7. I think she`d be right at the age where she could ride a sixteen inch bike, my son was riding without training wheel by four. I think girls are a little later.. My niece was six before she could ride without training wheels.
