Here are a few suggestions:

Gaymer's Olde English Cider

Any Argentinean wine @ about £4 a bottle. If you can spend £6 on Argentinean wine, you'll get something pretty special. They're underpriced compared to the competition, even Chilean and I think they're better than Chilean wines.

Thatcher's Cider

If you want spirits, I'd choose Lamb's Navy Rum at the cheaper end of the market.

Get Sailor Jerry's Spiced Rum.  It's cheap, it's tasty, and you can mix it with anything.

Cheap but not nasty. No such thing if you wanna get wasted. Don't be a puss and drink straight up 151, if your lucky you won't have to visit the hospital.

depends what you like

Sweet: go for Booen's farms, its cheep and very tasty

dry: go for a cheep red wine

mixxed: cheap vodka with something to cover the taste
