  1. to add to the list above, gai larn and choi sum.  Asian Greens tend to have a very high water content and require very little cooking or they go soggy and are not very nice.  best added to stir fries at the end to allow them to wilt, or steam for a few minutes to retain some bite.

  2. bok choi, (asian cabbage),yu choi, mei qing choi, tah tsa, you can get these at a good asian store , they all are quite simalar to cabbage in flavour but nicer if you ask me, they dont need alot of cleaning and cook quick too ideal for stir fries, also they are super good for you!

  3. Asian Greens are green leafy vegetables (very good for you) healthy, and tasty, often used in Asian cooking. However they are versatile and can be used in western cooking also eg. risottos, soups, and even curries,

They largely belong to the brassicae family, this means they contain glucosinates which protect against cancer. they are also high in iron, vit c, folate, zinc, calcium etc.

here is a list of popular asian greens:

Wombok (Chinese cabbage) ( its milder in taste than European cabbage)

-Pak choy . (also -baby buk choy or Shanghai buk choy) it has green, spoon shaped stems and a mild flavour,

-Buk choy - they have thick white stalks from the leaves

Choy sum - has small yellow flowers, very similar to spinach but slighlt stronger flavour

Chinese broccoli - has small white flowers.

Chinese mustard has a strong, peppery flavour.

Kang kong Also known as water spinach - can be eaten raw

En choy or amaranth is related to beetroot.

    Sin qua -similar to zucchini.

Hairy melon or fuzzy gourd. can be compared to a large, slightly seedy zucchini,

White radish  Japanese types are often called daikon. slightly milder than small red radish have a peppery bite.

    hope that helps!
