What are depression episodes

A depression episode is like when you are fixated on an awful past experience in your life for a long time like days and it is stuck like a glue in your brain and causing nonstop pain. Is it what you call a depression episode?

Im not an expert but depending on the experience you are referring to that sounds more like a post traumatic episode. Of course, the experience could cause depressive episodes, and quite often does. But depression or depressive episodes do not have to be brought on by a specific thing. I'd recommend seeing a psychaitrist, especially if you have a horrible experience thats bothering you.
