    the next meteor shower in California is AUGUST 12th. starts at 7pm should last for about 4 hours. =] GET SOMEWHERE DARK to really see them! it's an amazing sight!

They are brand new.  I just got mine at Wal-Mart this weekend and installed it myself.  I got the deluxe model that comes in three different speeds. . . . . .Slow, Medium, and Who needs a man?  I just can't figure out how to keep my skin from getting all wrinkled from being in the shower all weekend.

    Serious answer:  there are meteor fields that the Earth passes through at various times of the year, and what you generally see is shooting stars.  The meteors burn up on their entry into the Earth's atmosphere, and sometimes can be VERY spectacular...looking like bombs passing over the horizon.  but those shows are not common.

  25. meteor showers are periods of time when an abundance of rock or debris is entering earth's atmosphere and then burning up, therefore creating streaks of light across the sky. I'm not sure I know what you mean about the grime though...

    There is a huuuge one I suggest you watch which peaks tomorrow night (monday)/ tuesday morning at around 1 am. It's called the Perseids meteor shower and there are supposed to be some fireballs.
