  1. They are part of the food chain, without them and other insects the food chain would collapse and our food chain would be adversly affected.

There are many natural ways to get them to stop bothering you. First, make sure you aren't giving them a breeding home. Get rid of standing water near your home. They don't like citrus, so citronella candels or a bowl of cut lemons will usually keep them away.

  2. Of course, you ge the food chain, right.

Those tiny, disease spreading, blood-sucking, annoying, pesty mosquitoes are yet very important to our ecosystem. Most small animals feed on them. Even thought they are annoying, they are part of what keeps us alive.

But you can still kill the ones that annoy you. :)

  3. They are food for frogs and fish .

  4. Their purpose is to suck your blood and make new mosquitos.

Making you MAD is a by product.

We have very few in our area because birds and bats eat hundreds of them every night.

You could try making a bat house in a tree to attract bats to your area.  That may help.  Chimney swifts eat them too, but I don't know if they live in your area of the country.

  5. Other than spreading countless diseases? Their larvae are food for small fosh and the adults are food for dragonflies, bats, and several bird speicies.

  6. to ruin our lives.

  7. to annoy you.
