I've already had three lessons but I almost see no improvements. I've tried to be optimistic about it, but today.. I feel that i'm hopeless! Clutch, steering wheel, parking.. any kind of advice would be great!

Thanks in advance!

  1. What kind of feedback are you getting ?  May be you are trying to hard .This is a new  experience  for you> Take it one step at a time .Does your instructor review The lesson with you?  In 25 years I only lost one student  It turned out great for us both  She has a marriage licence now. When i was taking lessons  60 years ago would never believe I would go on to teach people to teach them to be driving instructors  Don t give up

  2. After passing your test it will be strange to find an empty front passenger seat. The first time you drive take someone with you for support. Think seriously about displaying a `P' plate.

When you do have to drive completely alone, begin on roads that you know but remember to keep a road atlas in the car in case you get lost.

When you get your confidence, drive like you own the car, not the road!

    Tight the seat belt

You've learnt to drive and passed your test by sticking to the rules. Stay this way and you'll stay alive ! So will your passengers and others on the road.

Your quick reactions won't always stop you having an accident. Spotting and responding to problems ahead in plenty of time will.

Keep some tools in your car

    No Drink alcohal

  3. Just stick with it we've all been there.

My Dad taught me to drive, no teachers then, and he used to tell me I was more than hopeless!!

It's a time thing, the more time you can put in to your practise the sooner it all comes together.

My wife not tells me I'm hopeless too. Hu, she should talk!!!!

  4. just drive it like you stole it!! everyone was hopelessat the beginning just gotta keep doing it over and over again and everything will become almost automatic. Try talking yourself throw steps and starting slowly... if all else fails just drive an auto they rock!!

  5. The best thing you can do is stay calm. Practice practice practice! I was terrible when i first started driving and i have loved cars since i was little. But the more i drove the better i got. You'll get better.
