What are some good LEBANESE movies?

i always thought only egypt released arabic films

but this summer i watched a lebanese film (Caramel / Sukkar banat )

and i liked it

what other good lebanese movies are there?

The hottest movie i know now in lebanon is called " the secret lives of the top plastic surgeons" Its supposed to be a movie filled with mystery and intrigue.

Meantime, if you live in Beirut....there is a Lebanese Film Festibal going on at the Empire Sofil cinema (last day is Tuesday though)...

You get to meet with the producers at the end of the films and discuss....I highly recommend catching at least one of the productions

If you are into old classic movies I strongly recommend "'Biyaa El Khawatem'" (The Ring Salesman), "'Safar Barlek'" (The Exile), "'Bint El Haress'" (The Guardian’s Daughter). Fairuz (THE GREATEST LEBANESE SINGER) stars in all these movies. If u prefer relatively new movies than you should go with West Beirut and El Bosta.
