What are some good credit cards?

I I have medium credit, 2 out of the three report me as good and one reports me as bad. Last time I checked (I check every three months) I went down a few points because I canceled 3 store cards I hadn't used in forever.

I believe my current card has a 16.87% APR....

I pay on time ALL the time almost in full each time... I use less than half of my credit limit on the card.. the card is always with in manageable range for my income.

I'd like a card with a much lower APR, or some reward system. I also would hopefully like to get no transfer rates.

My credit Union (FFCU) offers a card but I'm not yet sure if its good. My current card is Bank of America.

I've called them and asked for a lower APR, but they don't seem to have one (for me) which ticks me off b/c I'm a good card holder.

  1. American express is a good choice. The following site lists AMEX as being one of the best card to own. Try their clear cards. Make sure you have a credit score of around 700 atleast. Otherwise, you can try for citi cards. You may find the site below useful. Good luck!

  2. They all rip you off, some little and some more.

So the choice is upto you

  3. Bank of America is awful... Use your credit union

  4. Check out http://www.ineedrates.com

  5. Bank of America doesnt like to work with card holders. I switched to American Express. Its a little harder to get the card (have to have a credit score over 680) but it looks better on your report and you have several rewards plans to choose from :)

  6. Check out capitol one, good luck!

  7. Here is a link to some well respected credit card companies who have much lower APR's than your 16.87%.  Most have some reward system available and can transfer balances at low or no % rates:

Also, you can apply on line and often will receive approval while on line; if not within 2 days.   Best of luck!

  8. First, get AWAY from a Bank of America card.

Then look deeply into your credit union, they usually have above-average offers for their members.

If you're still not satisfied, Discover has a card that rewards you for paying on time - sounds like it might be a good fit for you. I have been thrilled with the service from them for almost a year now. Every time I call, I speak to a pleasant person right away.
