i can get a car when im 16 but what cars are the nicest that are in the 20,000$- 26,000$ range and my dad wont let me get a used car he said i have to have the newest features and it has to be safe.

most non luxury cars are at least in part in that price range.  

ford fusion is probably one of the safest in that range... it's built off a volvo sub frame.

chevy malibu, honda accord, toyota camry, nissan altima, honda civic, toyota corolla, nissan sentra, dodge charger v-6 also all fall into that range.  

all are available with side impact airbags, stability control and traction control for safety.  all are required to pass nhtsa testing before sale is permitted too.

also the hyundai sonata and the VW jetta will be int that price range.  teh sonata actually has beat out most everything else on this list when price value is included according to CR.
