  1. There are two types of rugby.  Union, and, er, the other one.

Union change the rules every year, and there are over 40 violations for a line-out alone, so you can see what you are up against.

I started watching over 10 years ago, and the reason I still enjoy it is because I don't worry about the rules - I just enjoy the match.

Take an hour to have a look in your local library.  The stuff on line is far too tecky.  Just learn the absolute basics.

Then sit back and watch tomorrow - overdose on what on paper looks like to be a magic weekend for rugby union fans.

Get a couple of friends round and a couple of cans (Rule 1).

    And just enjoy!

  2. The second one is rugby league which is a faster version of union. with league you have 13 players as of 15.

you must always pass he ball backwords, failure t do so will end up with a penalty to the other team. if you drop the ball and pick it back up again this is known as a knock on. the ball is then given back to the opposing team....ooo, each team gets five tackles and then must give the ball back.

the aim of the game is to score tries-points. after a try there is a conversion-2 points, a penalty is 2 point if you kick it through the sticks or a drop kick is 1 point

    they are just brief so..

  3. They are Laws!

    Don't mess with them
