  1. two fat ladies, la vita, ,

no we do not just have chippys and whiskey...

obviously ur a non educated delinquent tht cant afford to visit glasgow and find out

  2. Don't live there.

  3. Probably mcdonalds. lol

there are to many to recomend go to the city centre and just pick one, sorry cant give you more advice.

  4. do they have them in glasgow?

i thought it was just chip shops selling deep fried mars bars and whiskey?

  5. I had a delicious Italian meal a couple of weeks ago in a restaurant called La Vita's at George Square. (On opposite corner from Greggs).

I had Ravioli with pesto sauce and it was fantastic.

My friend had the best lasagna she has ever tasted and the service etc was good.

Very reasonably priced at £80 for four people with wine (2 courses each).

Give it a go you won't be dissapointed.

  6. Depends what kind of food you are after. For Chinese I would recommend Amber Regent - http://www.amberregent.com/

For Spanish, La Tasca - http://www.latasca.co.uk/

The best Indian is Ashoka - http://www.ashokaglasgow.co.uk/

For seafood, it would have to be Two Fat Ladies - http://www.twofatladiesrestaurant.com/

Hope you find somewhere suitable and have a good time!

  7. Have a look at the listed top ten restaurants in Glasgow below for an idea on where to go.

    Best,

    Scott

  8. If you do opt for Pizza and you're an American that doesn't want to be noticed you might try cutting your pizza with a knife/fork and eating it. In the early 80's I was in Glasgow and I picked up my slice to eat it and I was a spectacle...wonder if it's changed.... I do miss the real fish & chips I used to get in Scotland.

  9. Try Brian Maule at Chardon d'Or. He was Head Chef at Le Gavroche in London and there have been excellent reviews of this new place:

Michael Caines at Abode is also very good:

For Italian, try the award-winning La Fiorentina:

There are some excellent Indian restaurants like Dakhin, Spice of Life, Kama Sutra, Dhabba and India Quay.

Cafe Andaluz is good for tapas - there are two, one in the city centre and one in the west end.

I would personally recommend The Gate and The Secret Garden, opposite the Tron Theatre. They do 'Asia Pacific Fusion Tapas' which works very well. It's ideal for light bites or pre-theatre dining - I'd sit in the Gate lounge bar rather than the restaurant, but both are pleasant.
