What book is this???

I remember reading it my freshman year, it was about a guy, teenager who was murdered in a club and he turns into a ghost. He is still stuck on earth and he travels around L.A. i believe and he meets a girl who was killed or committed suicide. They come across a homeless man who is really sick and has a high fever, the boy sticks his hands on the man and cools him down. The homeless man dies and meets the boy and thanks him for trying to help. I really liked this book and would like to read it again. Any help would be nice.
