What brand cam shaft?!?

I'm looking for a camshaft for a small block chevy 350 my dad says he wants to get what they call a milemiser i haven't ever heard of it

i really want to improve performance and maybe mpg but I'm really looking for a good sound what brand would you suggest?

kinda depends on the fuel delivery system  as to which might be best. a multiport EFI will use a different cam set up than a quadra jet 4 barrel. that aside a hotter cam doesn't have to = worse gas mileage cruising the mileage can be about the same but you will be tempted to put your foot in it because it sound soooooooo good. I agree with others that comp cam has a good selection and very helpful and knowledgeable peeps to help you. as far as better gas mileage. engine pulleys, radiator fans, tire pressure, exhaust system, Spark energy. rotating mass will effect gas mileage more than the cam. the cam gives you the potential to burn more fuel, all the other things are what determine how much will burn, or how much of that energy is wasted

if you want it to sound nice get a comp cam and some headers and a 3"cut out thats wat i got on my 95 camaro z28

comp cams....a thumper...the grind makes a nice lope without the pther problems of a hot cam..forget the thristmister...you want economy? get a 4 cylinder...

The best thing to do is go to the competition camshaft website competitioncams.com plug in your information and they willsuggest the best cam for you. cranecams.com is also a good web site 268 cam is a good performance cam that will not need a bunch of modifactions by competition cams lopey idle and still decent miles per gallon plenty of horsepower.

you want more performance, speed, acceleration, torque, and hp, then the upgraded cam is for you.

better gas mileage???? sorry a cam upgrade is not what you want.

you want gas mileage, then buy a daily driver and mod the c**p out of the car you got and use it for fun
