What can replace key oil?

Well what can replace instrument key oil . Does valve oil work or not. And what is key oil made of?

Why go for fossil based oils, try castor oil, Industrial grade. A natural lubricant, eco friendly. costs less.

try some "3 in 1" oil.  a brand available at hardware stores.  DO NOT try to use vegetable oil - it will oxidize and get really sticky.  tried it once and regretted it

try light machine oil such as sowing machine oil
