I seriously believe that there is "NOTHING"  lava can't melt.

you mean, by dropping something into it,

well thats a good question, i suppose very little would survive a fall into lava, except like superman or perhaps a diamond although i dont know its exact melting point.

As far as I know there is nothing man made that will withstand lava.  Lava is a liquid above 1200 degrees C.  At 1200 degrees we see the first rock crystallization.

Just so you know Jennypenny the inner core of the earth is a nickel-iron alloy.  The outer core is iron rich magma.
