What causes lightning shows

Question

how often do they occur in Manatee county? I want to see a good one in real life. Also, how often are these lightning shows cloud to ground lightning. Are there any lighting proof suits or any other storm chasing gear I should buy? What store sells them? This is my first year storm chasing. I want to film hurricanes, tornadoes, waterspouts, and lightning shows.

lightning-proof suits?

You have to be serious when it comes to storm chasing.  Sometimes t's not fun...it's really dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.  Google "Skywarn"
