What charity gets the most money??

I was wondering. Every year, does more money go into saving and protecting animals, or into stopping poverty and homelessness?

More money goes into anti-poverty measures and support for the homeless and the poor. Consider all of the various programs just in the USA for these populations: individual, independent homeless shelters, clothes closets, career centers, Section 8 housing program, foodstamps, food pantries, medicare, free clinics, unemployment offices, etc.

It's a favorite folklore myth to say that Americans spend more money on animal shelters that the poor, but it's not true.
