  1. I personally use Callaway X20's and highly recommend them.

  2. I would go for taylor made or callaway, both excellent prodcut.

  3. I would never trust the Nike set.  The brand name is so overpriced and the technology is rated much worse than nearly all other brands.  Personally, I never liked the feel of the Pings, and the bounce is not necessarily good to building a smooth golf swing.  I have done very well with Cobras and Clevelands (all i've hit for past five years, 3 handicap).  The technologies are  better for grooving swings into the sweet spot.  Especially if you are a more beginner golfer or have higher aspirations, I would always stay away from clubs with big areas forgiveness (qualities such as spin and control are still different at different locations, and they don't emphasize grooving a swing for the sweet spot).  Also, especially the Nikes are terrible for controllable shaping of shots.  I'm not sure about the Pings, since I have been out of the market since I bought my Clevelands.

  4. A little more detail about what kinda golfer you are would help...

but - i agree that you should stay away from Nike. If you are inconsistent with irons or have trouble getting the ball up in the air, then definitely look into the pings. If you are consistent with you irons and can draw or fade the ball, the cleveland or cobras are worth the look (although you didnt mention which models).

    i would rate as follows:

Ping G10 - great game improvement clubs. if you miss the sweet spot on iron shots somewhat ofetn, these are great.

Cobra - best value for your money.

    Cleveland - love their wedges.

    Nike - overpriced schlock

PS - i own Ping G2's and love 'em, but if i was getting new clubs i be going with taylor made R7's.

  5. You can't go wrong with the PING.  Happy golfing!

  6. i think the most important question to ask yourself is muscle or cavity back. they say only low handicappers should hit blades but i disagree. i started hitting blades when i was about a 13 handicap and they helped my game a lot. that season i took 4 strokes off my handicap and only kept getting better. blades allow you to instantly tell that theres something wrong with your swing because they are so responsive. i think peoples start to get lazy with their swing with hardcore cavity backs because no matter where you hit it on the club face, it goes where you want. blades really help your swing. i currently play cleveland cg tours and they are amazing
