What did you name your son?

Question

I'm finding boys' names harder than girls'. I'm curious to see what you are naming your soon to be born if its a boy, or what you named your little one recently or not so recently.

If your child is older, do they like their name?

For middle names, I looked to family names of someone who was important to me-Earl, Douglas, John and then I tried to find a first name that I liked but wasn't going to be the name of every other boy on the playground.  For first names I have come up with

Lol..well i am planning to name my son Cameron Cade..........but im not pregnant. LOL..just for the future....ummm this guy in my class is named Zachariah, he hates it. His nickname is obviously Zach.

Hi, I'm actually 15, and I LOVE my name, and my brother is 10 and he loves his as well! My name is Elijah, and my brothers is Jacob. Which both appear to be religious names, but I was actually named after Elijah Wood the actor. (Mom liked the actor). I also think that if I had a son I would name him Jacob! Hope this helped!

My 8 yr old is named Odysseus Montgomery (Odie/Ody for short) and he loves his name. At least right now he does.

We'll see what happens when he's 12.

I named my son Sean. He loves it because of the not as usual spelling, but he has been called SEEN and SeeANN by people who did not recognize that it is pronounced like Shawn.

I was a school clerk and spent many years typing children's names on class lists, which gives me insight on this subject. Beware of popular names of singers or actors, or you may have two boys of the same name in his class. A little different can be good, but nothing too unusual or it will be an embarrasment to him all his life. Strong, short, easy to spell is best liked by boys and it will make it easier for you to find personalized souveniers and gifts for him.
