Question:

What do I install FIRST?

Hey, everyone!

I just bought an aftermarket head unit to replace my stock radio/CD player. I also have just bought an Alpine mono amp and a "12 Alpine sub.

I am on a limited budget, so what do I get installed first?

Just the deck? Save up and install everything at once? What would save me the most money? I will be getting it installed professionally.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

  1. Head Unit but if you are installing a system i'd get the remote turn on wire and the RCA jacks wired too that will save some time

  2. Definitely do the head unit first and when you do have them install RCA output leads and a remote to the location of where you want to mount your sub. If you do that then all you have to do is run power cables and connect the sub which is a very simple process (basically plug, tune, and rock).

The head unit depending on make of car, usually isn't too difficult and with some homework and research on the car you could probably do it yourself.

    Hope this helps

  3. head unit then amp then sub
