What do mothballs smell like?

Might sound silly, but I seriously dont know.

Is it like some sort of musty damp garbagey cardboard smell? Is that it, or is it something different?

they have a really weird smell, not a bad weird though

it's sort of nice when you smell it for the first time but then you get sick of it

it's hard to explain the smell, i'd say it's sort of like a sweet version of shoe polish (the nice smelling shoe polish)

They smell like naphthalene, that is what they are made of..
