What do people think of greenpeace?

They are bunch of self-centred egotists.  I've been an environmentalist all my long life and I would never support such a destructive organisation.

Greenpeace are only interested in over the top direct action. There are thousands of better organisations to get involved with if you genuinely care about the environment.

I put them on the same level as radical terrorist factions. They are people who don't have the presence of mind to address environmental issues rationally and resort to extremes.

They are the most coherent political group of the lot. I mean we aren't gonna be worrying about cycle paths, twice monthly refuse collection and council tax bills if there is no ozone and no non contaminated water and no electricity. They have the right idea. Plus they are proud to be different. I would join them anytime

I was a active member in the late 80's -> to mid 90's
