Ignorance is bliss is the saying.some agree some donot It referes to something u do not know about hence u r not troubled over it.

It is similar to what you don't know can't hurt you.  For example, if you don't know or are ignorant to the fact that your spouse is cheating, then it doesn't hurt you or you are happy and in bliss. Personally, I don't agree with this, but many people do go through their lives like this.

first off, ignorance mean's "not knowing." for example...if you talk about a subject like you know it & you know nothing about it..that would be ignorance. bliss means "supreme happiness." now the quote simply means that if you are ignorant to bad things & issues...that you will be blissful & that quote is absolutely true. just think about it. it's true for me because when i was younger, (& probably many people feel this way) ...like when i was around 5 & older..i didn't know many things about issues & the world. there were bad things going on in my life ..but they didnt seem bad to me because i didnt know what was going on...so i was BLISSFUL. now im 15 & i know what those bad things finally are..& now it hurts me. just think about it..& maybe you can relate.

I would think, that it means sometimes, you are better off not knowing about something, as this would only bring unhappiness in some shape or form.
