your brother/sisters fiances mother/father?

just father/mother in-law or aunt/uncle?

btw im half korean so pretty much everyone goes by aunt or uncle even if your not related (if your close with them of course). i just wanted to know the proper term without sounding like an idiot.

  2. I agree with the other poster...I wouldn't say father/mother-in-law because that's more what you would call your spouse's parents.

    I'm not sure there's a particular title for that. If you're wondering how to address them in person, if you're an adult just use their first names or Mr. and Mrs. "such and such."

    My mom's side of the family is Filipino so we use "auntie" and "uncle" for most adults and "Lolo and Lola" for seniors--like you said, even if they're not related. Must be an Asian thing. :)

  4. well technically they would not be called mother/father in law cause u are not the one marrying their child. Normally you would call them by their name either first name or by their last/familt name, it depends on how close of a relationship you have with them, or as in your culture, aunt/uncle.. if u are close with them, if not call them by their first name or mr/Mrs and their last name.
