What do you like about mermaids or what do you want to see in a mermaid novel that you havent before? Thanks

what I like about real mermaids is that they go around topless not like movies & tv shows where they were clam shells or something.

When I think of "mermaid" I always go back to the Little Mermaid. Disney gave it a happy ending while the original wasn't so happy.

I'd like to see a twist. No crushes on human princes, but just more rebellion. Maybe murder?

I like the fact that they can freely roam around the depths of the ocean.

hmm , firstly their unique like unicorns , pretty and kinda like a symbol of peace n gracefulness ..

but if its in a novel , i wanna discover the evil side of them , a community of them (sounds stupid) but yeah .. do they live like humans do ? or do they have these mystic powers .. ? like that , its a novel , its a myth , u can create anything
