  1. Training is the big thing.  Most places that offer courses don't make you buy your own gear until you pass the intro course, and even then many don't but they do teach you what you need.  It's a long list and takes tons of money, in addition to being pricey.  Most people I know who are qualified just rent stuff.

  2. A PADI Certification so you can experiance it with some knowledge of saftey. How to react in a situation. And so you can get the SCUBA Tanks filled with the Proper O2. Or whatever mixture of gases is needed for the depth being dived to.

    There is power in knowledge

  3. Lots of money...

a wetsuit, a dive computer (or pressure, oxygen, and direction gauges), fins, gloves, booties, a weight belt, weights, a regulator, a dive tank and its vest, and octopus (all the hoses that connect your things together), a dive knife, a flashlight, a mask and hood, a snorkel.

Depending on climate, a skinsuit or a dry suit. THere is NEVER enough money!!

  4. Haha I was bout to say water too but the first answer beat me to it

  5. Scuba diving equipment:Regulators, BCDs, BCDs with airtrim system, BCDS with ergo inflator, H.U.Bs, compasses, computers, compressors, compressor engines and accessories, DIN adaptors, dive lights, dive watches, fins with both open and closed heels, guages, hoses, knives, masks, optical lenses, regulators, vests, weightbelts and buckles.

  6. The first thing is instruction        know what the heck you are doing before you risk your own life and that of your dive buddy... and then follow the list one of the other guys listed... not that you need all that..

  7. Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, Lungs and a bucket.

  8. Respirator, at least a 50lb tank, Weight belt, Goggles, Snorkel and 2 pairs of each, never go diving alone.

Total cost should be around $1500 bucks

  9. I would suggest that you take some scuba courses ... Once you complete the course, you will know exactly what you'll need, the proper way to use everything, and most of all, you'll know how to dive safely!

    Good Luck!
