Mexico is a great county.  I've been to 18 of the 31 states and I'm hoping to retire there someday.  Why?

The people--95 percent would give you the shirt off their back if you needed it.

The climate--the cities on the coastline have their temperatures moderated by the sea breezes.  The cities in the mountains have a moderate temperature year round.  There's nothing close to the snow and ice of the USA and Canada.

The costs--A procedure in the hospital near me in the states would cost $2000; in Mexico $200.  A maid to clean your house there would cost about $5 a day--same for a gardener.

Quality of life--Some retirees report that after moving to Mexico and eating much more fresh fruits and vegetables, their cholesterol and blood pressure scores improve--so that is some cases they can reduce or eliminate medicines they're taking.

Many of the comforts of home--Supermarkets, satellite TV, Internet, Walmart, Home Depot are available.

It's estimated that 600,000 North Americans are already living there and enjoying it.

Mexico is great! thre is this one pllace we have stayed at all 6 times weve been there, called tita tulum, in tulum. one time i almost stepped on a sting ray! but i saw it and quickly swam away.

I'm worried about what is going to happen in Mexico with the hysteria in the U.S. about Mexicans living in the country...

I lived in Mexico for nearly a year, several years ago and I would like to go back with my Motor Home but, with the current security situation and the way Mexicans have been treated in the U.S. I am afraid to go back to Mexico (Vera Cruz) because I don't know how much of a backlash there is towards Americans because of the way their fellow countrymen have treated the Mexicans.
