Do you think it was a good decision for Brett Favre to go to the Jets?

Any other thoughts on Brett Favre coming out of retirement?

the packers are stupid for not letting him come back to their team.its cool he went to the jets though cuz now he can make the packers look like iddiots for letting him go.i hope he does good there.and he shouldn't have retired in the first place when hes still got the goods.

It was good for the Packers cuz now they have a draft pick instead of him just being retired. I think he'll play like he did a couple of years ago. The Jets don't have the talent at WR that the Packers have had for years. The coaching will be hands off which is why he threw so many picks. Coaches have to hold him accountable, like Green Bay did last year. He had a good year. I think he'll suck it up and his "that's how I play the game" explanation after a 3 INT loss won't fly with the NY media.

I think it makes no sense for him to go to another team. Green Bay was his team. He should just retire instead of milking it the same way Joe Montana did

1 player wont make the team better if the jets want to win they have to build a stronger team. brett shouldn't of came out of retirement he left with a good career now he just screwed himself

I am from Wisconsin and it was great watching Favre for many years.This consistant contol game he has had with Thompson was sickening.I am glad it finaly came to an end this year.That being said I don't think anybody won that war.I think Favre going to the Jets is going to be a misteak.Last year Brett did not lead the Packers to the NFC championship game.They carried him.He was 4-3 in his last 7 games 11TDS and 9INT.Age is catching up to him it was appearant in the games against the Cowboys,Bears and Giants.The Jets do not have the caliber of team the Packers have Brett is not going to do as well.

In 2007 the NY Jets total offense was #26, and passing they were # 25

While G.B total offense was # 2, and passing they were # 2,

Now the Jets have Bret Farve.

One player can turn a team around, by his motivation, and leadership.

Jets are heading into the play offs.

Green Bay forced Bret to retire, and manipulated him.

Green Bay will not be 500 this season.

If anything GB should have welcomed Bret back, and allowed to him to ccompete for the starting position of QB,  or just released him and kept everything quiet.

Bret has proven to be a positive role model and a stand up guy.  It sucks that GB tried to portray Bret as something he just isn't.

I don't see him taking the Jets very far this season. He has to compete with the patriots in his division now, which means even his leadership most likely lead them to a division victory, the AFC is tough so it's even a long shot to put the Favre-Jets even in the wild card.

He may be able to pull the jets together a little, but the jets are up against an arsenal of good teams in the AFC.

i think it was because he had been playing for the packers for a long time and it's time to move on and the Jets are better than the packers and he want to win games so going to the Jets is fine but i think he should have signed with the Bear because they really quarterbackrback. that's just my opinion..

I used to like him before this offseason but I think he just needs to hang it up. He's already a HOFer and really screwed the Packers over when they had built their team to get ready for the post-Brett Favre era and all of sudden he comes back and causes a lot of unnecessary drama for the Packers.

$25M to retire?  I don't know.  He's a great QB and I love the guy but you have to realize when you should take the $ and run while you can still get out of your own way.  I wish him the best and hope he doesn't get a nasty injury to ruin his retirement....

after the bad blood with management he couldn't stay with the packers,so it was a good move to go with the jets,the packers didn't want him in the same division

I think Brett Favre is an over-rated Prima Donna who squandered his legacy and honor for money. He is a whiny little girl who deserves no respect for the turmoil he caused for his team by putting himself and his wants first. His ego is monumental and I think that a season in the Purgatory that is the New York Jets is a fitting punishment for him. The Patsies will eat him like ham.

I do not like that Brett Favre is playing for the Jets.  I wish he would have stayed retired.  I use to really like BF, and alway cheered for him, except in the SB with the Broncos.  I was a bigger Elway fan.  I don't wish him any injuries, or bad luck.  I liked BF before this summer.  He really turned me off to what he did to the GB Franchise.
