  1. They're people.

But my crush is Italian and he is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. We are great!

  3. Nice Opera in Milan.

I like the Milanese, although I was only there briefly.  The Tuscans were wonderfully hospitable.  The Romans were like big city in New York or London or Paris, way too wrapped up in their own sense of importance.  The last time I was in Venice, I was nine, so I can't really say my impressions are acurate, but I loved the lady who sold little paper cones of bird food so I could feed the pigeons on St. Mark Square.  I haven't been to Sicily or the Southern Italy.  And I haven't been to the Lake Country.  The first generation Italians I've know here have been a mixed lot, like everyone everywhere.  I used to make ravioli by hand on Christmas eve with the Tassone family, when I lived in the San Francisco bay area.  It was a tradition they kept, but aside from that and the last name, they were about as Italian as I am.  In Hermosa Beach, near where I live now, I have Christmas eve with the Fedorchuks, they do vilna, a traditional Polish meal.  As from that and their name, they're about as Polish as I am.

I try to avoid generalizing about groups of people larger than twenty or so individuals, all of whom I've met personally, but I'm constantly asked to do so on these pages, so I just try my best.
