How much would you pay for him?

CRITIQUE him.

The riding with no shoes was because I was swimming and he never throughs a buck or a rear so i trust him more than anything and we were very close to home.

All of the other answers are pretty close.  But I do have a friend with a 14.3 hand Misssoure Foxtrotter that looks similar.  I would prefer he rode in a snaffle and alone.  Most horses will follow quietly if there is another horse along for the ride.  I'd ride him alone.  And I'd try a less severe bit.  $700.

One photo appears to me to be straight Arab, but then the one that he is standing alone makes me think that he is Arab/Quarter

His dapple is pretty much all gone, so he must be well over 9yrs

He also must be well mannered and safe, otherwise, you wouldn't be riding him with the attire (or lack of it) that you are.

I would say that he is under 15 HH...14.2 to 14.3

Appears to be a good mover and a nice looking horse, but not knowing if he is registered or not, or exactly how old he is or the degree of his soundness nor the guarantee that comes with him, it's very hard to arrive at a purchase price....$1000 or less, depending on those factors that we haven't been provided.

I'll give you my answer now though. It's a little hard to tell from just pictures for me his age and height but I'll guess anyway. Age I would say about 9 or 10, height between 14.3hh-15.1hh. If I knew how tall you were it would help TONS. I think he's in o.k. shape. He looks like he needs a little more muscle tone and definition but he's a healthy looking horse for sure. I can't see this from the photos but i would guess he might have a poor top-line from his head set and the over-all way he carries himself while you're riding. I'm not too keen on appy's so if it were me i wouldn't look twice if i were horse shopping. I'm not saying he isn't a nice horse, just not my preference. If I were to guestimate a price with the market flooded the way it is now, 500-1000 depending on how he rides. And breed an appaloosa. Could also be an appy/arab cross or something similar.

You could try to take some videos of him moving. Especially if you can lunge him. The only way you can tell anything from pics is if you give us some of him unsaddled from the sides, from and back. These need to be dead on from these directions, because we could see the lines of his conformation. I would say from the pictures that he's an arabian/quarter horse, but don't hold me to it. It looked like he didn't have a super deep chest and it looked like his shoulder sloped too much, but it's hard to tell with the pictures at the angle they were and the tack on him. No one can tell you his age from a picture. There are places on the web you can look at that show you pictures of horses teeth at various ages, but after a certain age it's hard to tell. You should just ask the owner. My uncle has a horse that's almost 20 and looks 2. I've seen young horses that look old. It's mostly about the amount of care they recieved. The most important things about the horse aren't things that we can tell you. They are his temperment, training, and health. The owner and a vet should be able to tell you these things. Ask the owner any question they can think of. If they refuse to answer any reasonable question, and I can't think of any unreasonable ones off the top of my head, then be prepared to walk away. The same goes if they won't let you try him out for a week or two and get him checked by a vet. Some people will cover problems with medicine that last till you leave. You should try him in different situations to see if he behaves as he should. Get a vet and possibly a farrier to check him all over for any health problems. Even if you love the horse you don't want to buy a horse that's going to be a money drain from the start. If the people you are buying him from are friends, don't let them try to get you to gloss over things by playing the trust card. Don't take their word that the vet has checked them and they are fine. I'm not saying to act like they are lying. Just tell them that it's about business, not friendship, and even though you trust them, it would be dumb to make a large financial descision with out professional opinions. I wouldn't buy a horse from a family member without having it checked first. Even if they took emaculate care of the animal, the vet could still discover something like the onset of arthritis. In that case, I would want to look somewhere else. Good luck.

Well the pictures provided aren't great for looking at build and such, but, here goes...

Age: I'm guessing in the 12-16 range

Height: 15.2ish

Good shape?: Not bad.  A little chubby but he doesn't look awful.

Pay?: Personally I wouldn't pay more than 500, but that's only because, no offense, but he doesn't look like anything spectacular, and I'm in AQHA so this horse wouldn't fit my needs.

Breed?: I'm guessing some kind of Arab cross.

It's really too hard to do a good critique because the angles are bad and there's too much tack on him.  He's got a nice eye and looks to be a solid horse, though.  His legs look decent, from what I can tell.

14.3 arabian/quarter horse cross or pintabian in good flesh maybe 10 years old or better (I'm going by the lack of dappling but could be insignificant in a quarter horse or paint cross????) He is ridden on a road here, so I'm assuming he is safe to road ride, and also assuming that you would have mentioned it if he were trained to any discipline other than trail riding.  He is ridden on a shanked bit and you are not neck reining, so I assume he is not trained to neck rein? Given that I am correct in my assumptions, and that he would vet sound, has no significant medical issues or vices, loads and hauls, clips etc. and is 15 years old or younger, I would pay $1500.00

I'd pay one gazillion dollars for him, since he is magical due to the fact that he "never throughs a buck or rear".

Riding barefoot, in shorts, with no helmet, on pavement, with too-short reins attached to a long-shanked bit.  Wow, just wow.  Just looking at photos of that is freaking me out.

I guess that he is an Arab or Arab X in his teens and is about 14 - 14.3 h.  I can't really do a conformation critique with these photos, so that's the best I can do.

He looks well fed but not in good shape probably not rode that often or if he is not very hard my horses get rode 1 1/2 hours at least 4 times a week so they stay in good shape

I dont even know how he is trained...... training and movment mean alot...... pics dont do much!!!!

Okay, these are all guesses...

Age: I'm guessing 10 ish, hard to tell from pics

Height: 16 ish, looks pretty tall

$$?: If I only had pics and couldn't ride him I'd say $1,000      since I know nothing about him.

Breed: Either Arab or Arab/QH cross

Is built much like an Arab which isn't desirable to me since I barrel race and work cows. That doesn't mean that he can't do either one but I look for a stockier cow-horse type build. I learned to ride on a Quarab though and he was the best horse you could ask for so I don't discount Arabs like a lot of people do. Looks like a healthy, well-mannered horse.
