What does 0.3 eyesight mean?

0.3+ would mean you are long sighted.

negative would indicate that you are short sighted.

0.3 would only be a slight vision impairment/blurriness when reading or looking at something close up.

what does 0.3 eyesight mean? Nothing, really. I have never heard of this meaning anything at all optically.

Eyesight of 0.3 is your visual acuity, you didn't say whether it was with or without glasses.

In any event, your visual acuity tells you nothing about glasses prescription (degrees) or whether you are short or long sighted.  You will need to have an eye exam and ask your doctor those questions.

a positive number like 0.3 would mean that a person is farsighted/longsighted. Farsighted is when you can't see things up close.

a negative number like -0.3 would mean that a person is nearsighted/shortsighted and can't see things far away
