What does PAT stand for??

/My mom is debating and someone (from Canada if that makes a difference), brought up a PAT for homeschooling. What does that mean???

Somebody from Alberta, I will guess (I'm in Alberta, too): Provincial Achievement Test. Tests the Alberta government expect students to do in grades 3, 6 and 9. For students purely under the home education laws, the tests are optional. For grades 6 and 9, the tests cover the same-grade LA, math, science and social studies curriculum. For grade 3, just the LA and math.
