What does eggplant taste like??

i was wondering if i should buy some

but i don't want to buy something that i don't like.

Eggplant is similar to yellow squash, except it has less flavor and better texture.  And it's less dense.  If you eat squash, you'll eat eggplant.  It barely has any flavor at all (like cucumbers).

Tasktes like.... eggplant. I can't really think of anything else that tastes like it, especially since the different parts taste different, the dark rind tastes a bit bitter, but the fleshy part is much milder, while the seeds in the middle part taste in between. In any case, it is not an overwhelming taste at all, so even finicky eaters (like myself) shouldn't have a problem with it.

I think plain eggplant tastes horrible..

Eggplant Parmesan dishes taste very good though :D

It's basically cooked eggplant with lots of cheese and some seasoning...thats how my mom makes it anyway I think

it taste great...when cooked its soft inside like a sweet potato and kinda sweet...don't know any recipes though but i know u can fry it

it tastes great

just cut them into cubes then put some oil and salt and paper and mix

then bake them in the oven till it is somehow tender (you can eat them like that)

OR

take them out and put your favorite tomato sauce and raisins (optional) then put them back in the oven and bake for about 5-8 minutes.

serve them beside rice if you want
