As far as work? or what is graphic design?

Graphic Design is a lot of what you see every day. It's the logo on your chips bag, it's the web pages you go to every day, it's the ads you see when driving down the road. It's the branding of the company you work for. Graphic design is a huge umbrella for a lot of different things.

As for what it involves... It depends on what aspect you are working with. Some people stick to particular areas, while others do a wide range. I was intrigued by the question but the more I ramble the more i realize this is a pretty broad question.
