What dog could I get?

Question

I want to get a dog, medium sized and generally well behaved. Could you give me a list of breeds that look good and are sociable? (I don't want to pay a lot for it, I just want to make up my mind on what he/she should be like)

You go to the shelter, tell them the size and demeanor you have in mind, and look at the choices.  If you select an adult dog, you will know that the dog will not get any bigger.  You will also not pay a lot to acquire the dog; however, all dogs, regardless of the initial sticker price, require food, training, supplies, and vet care, which can become expensive.

German shepherd! I know they are a large breed but mine is full grown and the size of a medium breed - so you could find a smaller one! They are very socialable if you socialize them as a puppy! Good luck!

go to the pound and rescue a dog or they will put the dogs down, and there are a lot of options at the pound, because a lot of people abandon their dogs:)

Korean Jindo --all my Jindos have been self-trained, self-potty trained from birth. their size ranges from medium sized to large sized--it just depends on their parents, nutrition, etc. they are VERY loyal, clean, and protective; and whenever I go out somewhere with my Jindo, he attracts SO much attention and everyone wants to pet him, find out what breed he is, compliment him and how well behaved he is etc.&& looks like a wolf with a curled or straight tail; these dogs NEVER forget their first owner, thats why i think its better to start with jindos as a puppy--except they need a firm owner, love, training, exercise, and early socialization with other people and other animals
